João Lhano
With 36 years of leadership experience—including 29 years as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Portuguese Army—João is a proven expert in operations, planning, and team development. His international military service with NATO and the United Nations, coupled with seven years of performance coaching in oil and gas across six countries, gives him a rare ability to bridge military precision with commercial execution. Fluent in four languages and a certified golf trainer, João brings a steady hand, a sharp mind, and a deep understanding of human performance to the CAVU team.
Elden Cortes
A retired Navy SEAL Warrant Officer, Elden brings 30 years of elite military experience in risk management, multinational training, and operational leadership. From coordinating global operations across 16 locations to advising top defense leaders, Elden has spent his career preparing teams for the unexpected. His work has strengthened allied forces and protected national interests across the globe. At CAVU, Elden helps organizations tackle complexity, build resilience, and lead with clarity under pressure.
Mario Castellanos
As a retired Navy SEAL Officer, Mario has led high-performing teams in some of the most demanding environments on the planet. From combat operations in the Middle East and Africa to strategic leadership roles at home, his career has been defined by operational excellence and a deep commitment to mission and team. Today, Mario brings that same mindset to the private sector—helping organizations improve culture, strengthen safety, and build leadership at every level.
