We are excited to share that CAVU International CEO Dave Burnham has joined the Board of Directors for the Wings Over America Scholarship Foundation (WOASF).
WOASF is a remarkable organization dedicated to providing scholarships to dependents of Navy aviation personnel, both active duty and retired. Since shifting from an event-centered foundation to a more donor-focused approach in 2018, WOASF has continued to expand its impact and reach. Currently, they award at least 50 scholarships of $5,000 each year, supporting the educational dreams of Navy families across the globe.
Dave brings decades of leadership and operational experience to the board, along with a deep commitment to serving the Navy community. As a former naval aviator himself, Dave understands firsthand the sacrifices Navy families make and the importance of supporting the next generation through educational opportunities.
We look forward to seeing the continued growth of WOASF with Dave’s guidance and to sharing more stories about the incredible scholarship recipients. Stay tuned for photos from the recent scholarship reception, where we celebrated these bright and deserving students.
