CAVU was proud to participate in the Lamar University Spring 2025 Research Expo, an event hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research to showcase the innovative work of undergraduate and graduate students from Lamar and surrounding institutions.
Held over two days, the Expo highlighted research across a wide spectrum of disciplines—Wednesday spotlighted STEM fields while Thursday focused on non-STEM research. With over 100 student participants each day, the event served as a vibrant hub of curiosity, critical thinking, and forward-thinking solutions.
Representing CAVU at the Expo were Dell Bull, Executive Vice President of Business Development, and Kaitlin Brennan, Business Development Assistant. They hosted a table in the pre-function area outside the Live Oak Ballroom, where they engaged with students, faculty, and fellow industry professionals. This provided a great opportunity to introduce CAVU’s mission and ongoing work to the next generation of leaders and innovators.
CAVU’s connection to Lamar University runs deep. Through a strategic partnership, engineering students from the College of Engineering will have the opportunity to earn a leadership certificate from CAVU.
Sponsored by the college, the students can participate in CAVU’s online leadership training, Leadership PRO Leadership Fundamentals course—equipping them with real-world leadership skills as they prepare to enter high-reliability industries. By integrating technical knowledge with strong leadership foundations, we aim to support students as they transition from classroom to career.
We're grateful to Lamar University for hosting such an impactful event and for the opportunity to connect with students who represent the future of engineering, research, and leadership. CAVU remains committed to supporting young talent and creating pathways for development through mentorship, training, and collaboration.
