Mark is an experienced professional focused on improving operational excellence, culture and leadership, investigative analysis processes, and high reliability operations.

Mark retired as Navy Captain after 28 years of military service, which included 15 years of senior leadership and management experience with significant responsibility and accountability.  He served on six U.S. Naval warships, including commanding a guided missile frigate, operated nuclear power plants and served as Chief Engineer of the Navy’s largest, oldest and most complex nuclear plant, got the best education in leadership not taught anywhere else, and served with the best and brightest folks in the world.

Following his Navy career, he has assessed and coached in upstream, downstream, and midstream oil and gas operations in North America,Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia with the following emphases:  operational excellence, investigative analysis, rig move efficiency, HSE Safety Cases and Lean Program initiatives.  He also directed a complex chemical plant responsible for sterilizing medical equipment used throughout the medical and pharmaceutical industries and most recently led OperationalExcellence/Lean Manufacturing initiatives at a pharmaceutical company.
