Welcoming New Coaches to the CAVU Team

We are excited to welcome five new coaches to the CAVU International team!

Each of these leaders brings decades of operational experience, a deep commitment to developing people, and a proven ability to lead in complex, high-risk environments. Their backgrounds span the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, with experience across special operations, aviation, maritime operations, global communications, peacekeeping, training, organizational development, and executive leadership.

At CAVU, our coaches are the foundation of the work we do. They bring credibility, practical experience, and a mission-focused mindset to every client engagement. We are proud to add these five exceptional leaders to our growing team.

Harry “X” Xenitelis

Harry “X” Xenitelis brings more than 30 years of leadership and operational experience from his career in the U.S. Army, retiring at the rank of Colonel. Originally from New Jersey, Harry began his military career as an enlisted Infantryman before earning his commission and serving much of his career as a Signal Corps officer supporting Infantry and Special Operations units.

Throughout his career, Harry commanded at the Company, Troop, and Battalion levels and served in senior communications leadership roles across the Middle East, the Pacific theater, and global Department of War satellite communications systems. He also served as Deputy Commander of a Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team, as a military liaison with Indonesian and Philippine Army units, and helped establish a unit responsible for the care and return to duty of approximately 400 wounded warriors.

Following his retirement from the Army, Harry has led business development efforts within the technology sector and has worked as an independent consultant to technology companies for more than six years.

Deen Lady

Deen Lady is a retired U.S. Navy Command Master Chief with more than 25 years of experience leading high-performing teams in complex, high-risk environments. His military career includes assignments aboard amphibious assault ships, nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, strike fighter squadrons, reconnaissance squadrons, and multiple maintenance facilities.

Deen brings a practical, mission-focused approach to every engagement. He has led large, geographically dispersed teams and managed high-impact programs where precision, accountability, and clear communication are essential. Clients value his ability to quickly understand their needs, anticipate challenges, and implement solutions that keep projects aligned with business objectives.

Known for his approachable leadership style and commitment to continuous improvement, Deen builds strong relationships grounded in trust and collaboration. His experience in operational execution, financial oversight, and process optimization allows him to deliver consistent outcomes while strengthening the overall client experience.

Joseph “Joe” Ruzicka

Joseph “Joe” Ruzicka is aretired U.S. Army Colonel with more than 26 years of experience as an Armor Officer. Throughout his career, Joe commanded and advised at multiple levels, including serving as the Senior Military Advisor to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Mali.

Joe’s expertise focuses on leadership development, organizational change, team building, and investing in human performance to maximize talent and capability. He has extensive experience helping organizations operate safely and effectively in complex, austere environments. His background includes executive-level staff experience and planning and conducting operations across the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America.

Joe holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Colorado State University, a Master’s degree in International Relations from Webster University, and a Master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.

Torrence Mabry

Torrence Mabry is a U.S. Navy Master Chief and native of Youngstown, Ohio, with more than 30 years of naval service. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1993 and began his career as a Deck Seaman before becoming an Operations Specialist.

Throughout his career, Torrence served aboard multiple ships and commands, including USS Denver, USS Cole, USS Mitscher, USS Nashville, USS Lake Champlain, and USS Nimitz. He also served with NATO command CINCWESTLANT, COMRIVGRU ONE, COMPSRON ONE, and the Center for Surface Combat Systems Detachment San Diego.

Torrence played a key role in commissioning the first staff and three Riverine Squadrons based out of Little Creek Amphibious Base and later served as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for the Navy’s first-ever Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System in Romania. His experience includes operations, training, instruction, missile defense, and senior enlisted leadership across global assignments.

Joseph Fahrney

Joseph Fahrney is a retired U.S. Navy Command Master Chief with more than 34 years of operational leadership experience in high-risk, high-consequence environments. Throughout his military career, he served as a senior enlisted advisor to executive leadership teams across strategic, operational, and tactical commands, including assignments supporting organizations with more than 13,000 personnel throughout the Indo-Pacific region.

Joseph’s expertise centers on leadership development, organizational culture, workforce engagement, and team effectiveness. He has extensive experience coaching and developing leaders in complex environments where communication, situational awareness, teamwork, and decision-making directly impact organizational performance and mission success.

In addition to his operational leadership background, Joseph has taught leadership and ethics at the U.S. Naval War College and the U.S. Naval Community College. He holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and is a Certified Executive Coach with experience using leadership and behavioral assessment tools to support leader and team development.

We are honored to welcome Harry, Deen, Joe, Torrence, and Joseph to CAVU. Their combined experience, leadership credibility, and commitment to developing people will strengthen the impact we deliver to our clients across industries.
