The AI-Astute Leader: Creating More Time for What Matters

Leadership has never been about spending more hours buried in emails, reports, and meeting notes. It is about people.

It is about coaching, communicating, solving problems, making decisions, and helping teams perform at their best. But for many leaders, the administrative side of the job often takes over before the real leadership work can begin.

That is where the AI-astute leader comes in. Being AI-astute does not mean becoming a technical expert. It does not mean knowing how to code or handing decisions over to technology. It means understanding how AI can be used thoughtfully to reduce repetitive, low-value work and create more space for the work that actually matters. AI can help leaders move faster through routine tasks. But it cannot replace human judgment, context, empathy, or accountability. Leaders still make the decisions. Leaders still read the room. Leaders still understand the people behind the performance.

In LF-13.1: The AI-Astute Leader, part of the Leadership PRO course, learners explore what it means to use AI as a practical leadership tool. The segment introduces simple ways leaders can begin experimenting with AI, while staying grounded in the human side of leadership.

The goal is not to change everything overnight. The goal is to start small, stay curious, and look for opportunities to give leaders more time to lead. Leadership PRO helps leaders build the skills needed to perform in complex, fast-moving environments. LF-13.1 adds an important question for today’s leaders:

How can AI help you serve your people better?
